Malakai's proud pappa

Well....I have to admit this is my first time to "blog" and it could be the last, crash and burn!
As I am sure some of you have heard I was recently laid-off due to the incredible housing market that our Nation is going through right-now and I thank you all deeply for your unwavering support and prayers. Yet, through this tragedy I have been blessed to have some much needed time with my amazing wife and handsome little boy!!! It is truly hard to believe that he has just turned one!
Malakai has taught me SO much about the deeper 'things' in life. Being a husband and dad have changed everything for me; my goals, my desires, my attitude, and the way I desire to spend my time. I just love being home and hanging out with my wife and son more than anything. Being a dad has flooded my soul with emotion that I never dreamed of having. I look at my family and can't believe that GOD loves me more than I love Mallory and Malakai; how is that possible? On my best day I'm still a &@#*^!. Yet, when I see that little boy smiling and laughing everything just seems to stop and I am blown away by the love within me for Kai and GOD revealing to me that he loves me just as much.

1 YEAR OLD!

My sweet baby boy is 1 year old!! I can't even believe it. We went up to Wichita, KS to spend his birthday with my family. Kai and my brother have the same birthday...June 1st. I took a ton of pictures, of course, so I will upload many from the weekend soon. These are some that I took in my parent's front yard. I just feel like I could stare at him forever. He is so cute!

Finally, I know!

Well, I finally broke down and decided to add just one more thing to my list of things to do in my everyday life....update ANOTHER blog!! My former blog has officially become my MKP blog and this is reserved specifically for family and friends. So, here we go...
